YYC shooting report a hoax, say police

Reports of a shooting at Calgary International Airport last week were unfounded, according to Calgary Police Services.

According to reports, police were called to YYC last Friday (June 16) shortly after 5 p.m., following reports of a shooting at one of the facility’s terminals. Police tweeted just after 7:30 p.m. that evening that the incident was resolved and reports of the shooting were unfounded.

The incident resulted in several flight delays that evening.
