The expanded Icelandair service will further strengthen YVR and Icelandair’s successful partnership, which started with the launch of its YVR – KEF service. The flight will continue to use the Boeing 757 aircraft and will depart YVR two days a week on Fridays and Sundays at 3:45 p.m. and arrive at KEF at 6 a.m. Flights will depart KEF on Thursdays and Saturdays at 5:10 p.m. and arrive in YVR at 5:50 p.m. Service will ramp up to three days a week in 2018.
In addition to offering passengers more connections, Icelandair’s service will create 61 jobs and will contribute $3.4 million in Gross Domestic Product to the B.C. economy.
